We are so fortunate to have a class subscription to Raz Kids/reading A to Z .  Students had time to explore this leveled reading site.  As we become experts, I will send login information so they can play at home.

We Were READERS Today

Wow!  There was a lot of reading happening in kindergarten today.  Kids are coming home with a Pete The Cat Book that they can read to you.  We talked about the ways you can read; pictures, words and retelling.  We practiced this with our collection of ABC books.

Apple picking Fun

We had such a beautiful day!!!  The sky was blue, the apples red, the doughnuts delicious and the smiles bright.  Sorry my phone filled up so this is it for pictures.

Constitution Day

We had our first school wide meeting today.  Our school learned about Constitution Day from Mrs. Davis's second graders.  We enjoy school wide meetings and assmblies about twice a month.

Matching Objects to Numbers

Today we practiced identifying numbers and counting out the same number of objects.  It's one thing for children to recognize a number but it's a whole other thing for a child to be able to know how much that number represents.
