Oh No!

We played a new sight word game today.  We are always looking for new ways to sneak in those sight words.

Hey, Little Ant!

We are still working on opinion writing in kindergarten.  Today we read the book Hey, Little Ant.  Your children got to write the ending to the story.  Based on their opinion they wrote weather the boy should or should not squish the ant.  They had to defend their opinion with information they learned from the boy and the ant. I hope you enjoy their writing.  As an extra treat... Mr. Kellog brought in his cello and we sang the Little Ant song.

Soaking Wet Outside Clothes

Unfortunately this weather is not the best for clean outside playing.  Some of your kids are coming home with VERY wet boots, snow pants and coats.  Kids are asked to stay out of the mud and puddles but that's like asking me to not drink coffee... IMPOSSIBLE.  Snow would be a welcome change.

New Year, New Hopes and Dreams

We came up with new hopes and dreams for the new year.  I assured the kids that they would all become better readers so they didn't need to pick reading as something they wanted to get better at.  So.... We have a room full of kids who want to learn how to ice skate, roller skate, learn how to dance, do cartwheels  and learn how to be a paleontologist.  I'm thinking we need some field trips 😂

Winter Projects

Sorry I have not posted in awhile.  The good news is I have been busy teaching your very smart children that I don't even think to stop and take pictures of it.  Here are two projects we have completed.
